I liked this book too...

...it's very straightforward. I especially liked the aspects section although some combinations were mysteriously left out or glossed over with one-liners (Moon Square Nodes, for example). Also I felt she had a preference for explaining certain house/sign combinations over others (i.e., nodes in the 3rd vs 9th house was given a lot less ink and consideration than the 5th vs 11th house nodes). Apart from a few basic typos, I felt this book best explained node function and interpretation over many of the books I've read so far on the subject. And it's clearly more down-to-earth than Schulman's Karmic Astrology, bk 1. I'd make this handbook my first reference to students, if it weren't for those minor inconsistencies mentioned above and a few tongue-in-cheek suggestions embedded in the otherwise helpful text ("Commit suicide" "Have a nervous breakdown"). I'd still recommend this book anyway, but maybe as a second or third resource.

North Node's Explained in English

I haven't found many books on the market explaining the North Nodes, aside from Christian Astrology (only a few centuries old) and Karmic Astrology. Donna breaks the nodes down into plain english, simplifies the confusing and has created a wonderful guideline to understanding the nodes. I really enjoyed the section on balancing your nodes. I had the opportunity to meet and listen to Donna last year and can't wait til Astro Rama this year.Tia

North Node's Explained in English

North node's are one of those areas in astrology that you almost have to read antiquated old texts like Lilly or Karmic Astrology to even get a glimpse as to their meaning. Donna breaks the node down simply, explains its meaning in simple english, not in fancy astrologer-speak. I particularly appreciated the section on balancing your north and south nodes. I had the pleasure of meeting Donna last year at a conference and cannot wait to see her again at this year's astro-rama. She is a fountain of knowledge. Tia Starr
