The Blue Parrot Keeps Watch Over the Mouse.
Rating (3)
Date: 2005-10-26

The cat, El Gato, was a master of disguise. You just never knew who or what he is at any given time. Billy Bird, the parrot, was no birdbrain. It's too bad you can't see the cover, as he is a brilliant blue with yellow markings and eyes and black beak. The mouse, Zoe (Greek for 'life'), swam in dangerous waters as she was marked for death, but by whom?

Zoe's father, Mac MacLeish, was after El Poco Grifon's sunken treasure in Wilma's course, the Gulf of Mexico around the Yucatan Peninsula near Cozumel. The Cat, a master thief, was also after this valuable treasure and would do anything to get it. Benito had tracked the Cat for three years and comes to Zoe's rescue from the dreaded shark. The deep-sea diving and underwater photography was a normal thing to do when you are on the crew of the salvage ship, 'Yankee Doodle.'

Dawn Stewardson attended grad school in Toronto and decided that Thomas Wolfe was right, "you can't go home again." She has an assortment of animals in her 'jungle' garden, many of which have appeared as characters in her books. She has written NO RHYME OR REASON, MOON SHADOW, and ACROSS THE MISTY.
