Lost and Found trilogy
In a private hospital in Galveston, three women go into labour at the same time. Shortly after the births, a fire breaks out in the hospital.

Kit witnesses her husband, Derrick, murder a man and she runs; goes into hiding. Luke's sure that Kit knows what happened to his brother, they disappeared at the same time. When a news camera catches Kit's face on film, Luke can now find her and her new baby. Lucky for Kit, Luke reaches her before her husband. Together they try to unearth the evidence needed to put Derrick away.
This was a good suspence. Kit and Luke make a great pair.

All the right ingredients

This has all the right ingredients for a darn good yarn and yet . . . Kit marries a well-to-do but possessive developer and soon becomes pregnant. She does not know it was by artificial insemination because her husband is sterile. Shortly before the baby is born, she sees her husband kill a worker on the work site after hours. She flees, has the baby, and manages to stay hidden until a news story about a hospital fire mentions her name. Luke, the brother of the man who was killed, has kidnapped Kit and the baby, and has to convince her that she really did see what she saw and that they need to find some way to prove it and bring Kit's ex-husband to justice. But they have to keep dodging Sanders, brother of the killer, who thinks Kit has become mentally unstable following the baby's birth and just needs to be returned home to be okay again. It all works out but it was just a ho-hummer. I just thought it was not very plausible.

A FATHER FOR HER BABY is the second book in the LOST AND FOUND series (Amanda Stevens-Somebody's Baby and Carla Cassidy-A Father's Love), but it stands on its own as a truly wonderful story. A must read!
