She's been receiving messages that could only have come from Kit. Joey thinks she's being set up to be silenced in the upcoming DeCarlo retrial.
This is a really good book of conspiracy and betrayal. Joey is the perfect Knight; risking everything to protect the woman he's come to admire and love.
