Product Description
"Don't worry, it will work out perfectly" But did he mean the wedding arrangements or their future together? Eustacia didn't know. After all, it was a marriage of convenience, definitely not a love match. Colin made it very clear that he wanted a down-to-earth partner who would help him care for his brother's orphaned children, not a dreamy girl whose head was full of romance. But Eustacia couldn't help hoping that one day he might grow to love her as much as she loved him.

The characters are really neat. If I am not mistaken - the romances are loosely based on her own romance and experience. An English girl who meets an ignamatic doctor from Holland.
You never get a lot of emotion from the very masculine character until the end when he reveals how he feels.
The young lady usually needs a job that he convinces her to take and they fall in love.
Sir Colin Crichton is established in his profession and has had no time to fall in love. Something about Eustacia attracts his attention.
She is in need of a well paying job because she has her grandfather to look after.
To these people, family means everything.
Sir Colin is taking care of his brother's children. Two young boys, ages 8 and 10 [I think] who are feeling under the weather.
Well, needless to say, the boys lose their parents in an accident, so Sir Colin needs Eustacia to look after the boys longer than he thought.
He, very subtly convinces her to marry him - a marriage of convenience.
After the marriage a former lady friend of Sir Colin's shows up [generally the nasty type] causing a bit of trouble. But of course, Eustacia has already fallen in love with her husband and her grandfather really like Colin's country home and he gets along very well with the boys and Colin's mother [who very much approves of Eustacia].
Oliver and Teddy caused bit of a rucas which drew Sir Colin and Eustacia closer together. And bonded all four of them into a family.
A really wonderful story with no shame in it - beautiful characters - wonderful read that is delightfully entertaining.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

Back Cover description: "DON'T WORRY," COLIN SAID. "IT WILL WORK OUT PERFECTLY." Eustacia wasn't sure whether he meant the wedding arrangements or their future life together. She didn't know him well enough to even guess. It was a marriage of convenience, after all, not a love match. Colin had mad it clear that he wanted a down-to-earth partner to help him care for his brother's orphaned children--not a dreamy girl with her head full of romance. Even so, Eustacia found herself hoping against hope that one day, he might grow to love her as much as she loved him...The reviewer from Ottawa, Canada has some valid points, but you don't read Betty Neels for reality. However, she makes you understand why the A-levels are useless in the first three pages. Nicely done story, strong characters, and happy ending. I always love the descriptions in Ms. Neels' books--food, clothing, places and homes. And I love the cars these guys drive; they cost more than my house.

Modern romance consultant doctor hero

I brought this one by mistake, set in London and the country in the 1980s, not my preferred time period, the book is well written but definitely on the fantasy side. Heroine with 4 `A' levels decides not to go to University, this puts her in roughly the top 1% of the population, decides to take a job washing bottles because it pays well. Hero, `Sir Colin Crichton' runs a Rolls Royce that never gets stuck in traffic, has at least two homes one in London, one in the country, both fully staffed, private income. Has reached the level of medical consultant / surgeon whilst in his 30s. The author looks to be a popular one, and one of the nice things about books is you can make the world perfect, many of the characters are comfortable ones so you may enjoy this one. This book has been reprinted in 2000 and may be available on the Amazon UK web site....
