Of the World of Powers Book this is the Best Rating (5) Date: 2004-11-06 2 out of 2 customers found this reveiw helpful The Worlds of Powers series had many ups and downs and for the most part were fan fiction. However this novel was the greatest of the lot in that it was a complete origional prequal to the game Shadowgate. The novel told of the hero character and his quest to stop the evil warlock. Along the way he teams up with many interesting characters and is trained for the most part by them. However like the brutality of the quest he must embark eventually he finds himself alone at the gates of Shadowgate where the game itself begins. Overall if you are a fan of the Game Shadowgate or just want a fun fantasy novel that isn't to terribly long than you cannot go wrong with this one. It is a great read that is well written and is overall a terrific buy. Also a great way to get a young child into the Fantasy genre if you don't want them to embark on the Harry Potter quest.
